Maureen O’Hara was an icon in her field.  She had played several memorable roles, such as Doris Walker of Miracle of 34th Street (1947), Mrs. Kathleen Yorke of Rio Grande (1950), and Katherine Gilhooley McLintock of McLintock! (1963)  to name a few.  After her death, her diamond, shell and 18K bi-color gold brooch was put up for auction.

The oval cameo, which depicts the image of Raphael’s Madonna of the Goldfinch, is surrounded by 77 round single cut diamonds in a white gold frame with yellow gold scalloped wire-work.  Total estimated diamond weight is 2.80 carats.  It sold at auction in November 2016 for US $3750.
