Peggy Rockefeller will always be remembered for her philanthropy. However, on June 12, 2018, we will see that she also had a love for jewelry. Beautiful pieces of jewelry, owned by Peggy, will go up for auction at Christie’s. She owned a suite of peridot and diamond jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels. These consist of a necklace, suspending a detachable pear and oval cut peridot pendant brooch, enhanced by circular cut diamonds, to the detachable surmount and neck chain of similar design, mounted in 18k gold (18 1/2 inches). There is also a bracelet (7 1/4 inches), earrings (2 3/5 inches) and ring (size 7). The entire suite is estimated to sell for US $80,000-$120,000. Peggy is seen wearing the earrings and necklace at the 1987 Founders Ball at Rockefeller University.
